Worksafe Technology is a new company established to eliminate the causes of frequent and recurring workplace injuries. By combining our expertise in product design, development and technology, our aim is to take a fresh look at common accidents and injuries in the workplace.
Our approach is to develop faster, more efficient, and safer ways to accomplish manual tasks by designing intuitive tools and practices which will be readily adopted by users.
Dan Koval – President
Dan is an entrepreneur with over 20 years experience in developing new, innovative consumer products including timepieces, children’s educational products, and storage solutions. Clients and customers include, Amazon, MoMA, Target Corp, and Bed Bath and Beyond. Prior to starting his own ventures, Dan worked as a strategy consultant for KPMG in England, and in business development, product management, and sales roles over 10 years at GE Company in the US, UK, and Hungary. Dan holds an MBA from INSEAD in France.
Richard Stephens – Vice President
Richard has over 15 years of experience in business management, business planning, strategy development, as well as specialized knowledge in product development, digital and internet services. He has broad insight in a number of sectors including online, mobile and enterprise software development. He founded Netshaker, a software development company which serviced companies such as Intel, Nokia, American Express, and Coca-Cola. Richard has run businesses in the UK, Europe and the US.
Konstantinos Nikolopoulos – Chief Financial Officer
Kostas is a leading Private Equity investor with more then 13 years experience in Principal Investments across the capital structure in Europe, MENA, Asia and the US. He is a trained corporate finance lawyer and a project financier and has lived in the US, Europe, Asia and the ME.
James Atkins – Non-executive Director
James is chairman of Vertis Environmental Finance, an emissions trading firm based in Budapest, Hungary, which has pioneered emissions trading in Central and Eastern Europe. Previously James was a manager in the corporate finance group at Deloitte & Touche Central Europe and worked for Arthur Andersen and Waste Management International in the UK and Germany. He graduated from Cambridge University and is a UK Chartered Accountant.
Tom Jarvis – Lead Designer
Tom is an award-winning product designer. A 2010 graduate of the Royal College of Art, Tom has experience in the design of ergonomic products, and a passion for creating functional products that can improve people’s lives. As an RCA graduate Tom won the critically acclaimed Conran Award for the best graduate design
David Bennett – Advisor
David is a seasoned hotel industry executive and recognized industry innovator with twenty years of experience in both hotel development and operations having work for multiple hospitality companies including Starwood and Marriott. David received his Master of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University and his BA in Cultural Anthropology from University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he graduated Cum Laude.
Mark Barnett – Head of Ergonomics and Training
Eighteen years experience providing preventive and workers’ compensation-related ergonomics services and twenty-three years’ experience in analyzing job demands. For the last 10 years, Mark has worked in healthcare serving hospitals, clinics and administrative offices in Sonoma County, California. His expertise includes ergonomic assessments, training, product research and trials.
